“Don’t Be Fooled”

Scripture:

Proverbs 10:23
Doing wrong is fun for a fool,
while wise conduct is a pleasure to the wise. (NLT)

Observation:

Whenever we do anything that is opposed to the will of our righteous and holy God, it is sin. And the reason that sin is so tempting and so easily given into is because we are inherently sinners by nature. We are a self-centered and greedy people, easily convinced that bad is good and good is bad; the age old lies of Satan, who is the creator of all deceit and the one who caused the fall of mankind.

Application:

The Devil’s clever deceitfulness is alive and well today; taking the world down a path of death and destruction, which is the very curse that sin has brought upon this world. You may think that the battles of good verses evil are nothing but fairy tales, but don’t be duped into believing this lie, my friends, because every person, faces everyday, very real battles; battles that bring life and battles that bring death—battles that determine our eternal and final destination. Just as our physical world is ravaged by war and famine and disease, so, too, is the spiritual world ravaged in battle for the precious souls of God’s created people. Satan is the prince of this cursed world and does not want the Truth to be known. This is why we are taught by the governments of the world and told by the media that truth does not exist and that doing evil is not really all that bad. If you think things are upside down now wait until that day when the archangel Michael will finally defeat the Devil and all the fallen angels who follow him, and kicks them out of the heavenly realms; releasing them upon the earth (Revelation 12:7-9) where they will unleash their last stand before being condemned and sent into the Lake of Fire forever (Revelation 20:10). Even though we see much suffering and the killing of innocent lives in the world today, you don’t want to be here during the tribulation period, my friends, because Satan’s assault on this earth will bring down the wrath of God that has never been felt before. And for all those who have turned away from the Truth of God to follow the world, they, too, will join Satan in the Lake of Fire ( Revelation 20:15); a hell that will not only be far worse than the tribulation period of God’s final wrath, but a hell where there is neither relief, nor end.

Prayer:

Thank You, dear Lord, for giving us the Truth which sets us free from the bondage of sin and the fear of dying. Thank You for the warnings you have so graciously provided. Please continue, O God, to protect us from the lies of the Enemy that sound so good, but are really so deadly.

Amen
